火事騒ぎ
ＧＷも後半になりました。全国的にお天気に恵まれ、行楽や帰省などお出かけになられら方も多いことでしょうね。各地で渋滞、混雑、事故など多く発生しているとのこと。十分にお気をつけいただき、連休を楽しんでいて下さい。
一昨日と昨日は連休の狭間、小児科診療所はどこも混雑していたことでしょうね。子どもたちが病気になるのは、時と所を選びません。休みももちろんお構いなし。さあ家族で出かけよう！と思っていたら急病で断念・・なんてことも、よくあります。残念な思いをしながら連休を過ごしておらえる方も少なくないでしょう。ご苦労様です。
混雑を極めていた昨日の外来ですが、夕方６時頃、近くで火事騒ぎがありました。建設会社の寮で、ボイラーがぼやを起こしていたようです。当院からわずか100メートルほどのところ。すぐに消し止められ、大事にはなりませんでしたが、ひやっとする出来事でした。
私は診療中で、野次馬にはなれませんでしたが、医院の周りは騒然としていたようです。当院の駐車場を見やったら、赤色灯を回した消防自動車が何台か停まっていました。作戦本部になっていたかのようでした。そして関係があるのかないのか分からない車両がけっこうたくさん停まっていました。診療も終わりに近づいていて患者さんの自動車も少なくなってきたころだったので、混乱はありませんでした。こんな時にはご近所の方々のお役に立てることもいいことなのでしょう。
診察室での親御さんとの会話。私「火事みたいですね」。親御さん「外はにぎやかですよ」。私「（医院の）中も大火事でした」。親御さん「・・・（笑）」
一日中火事場みたいな騒動を繰り広げていた外来。その混雑さもそうですが、大変な業務量になっているにも関わらずいやな顔もせず、一生懸命に仕事していた職員も、きっと“火事場の馬鹿力”を出していたのでしょう。もちろん私も。来院された患者さんを最後まで気を抜くことなく診療を続けるって、けっこう疲れることなんですよね。
この騒ぎはいつになったら落ち着くでしょうか。とりあえずは連休あけが心配です。そのためにも３連休をゆっくり休ませていただいています。あしからず。
