５月としては最高の33度！
今日の新潟は急に真夏になったかのような暑さでした。私のいる上越市ではなんと33度。これは５月としては当地での観測史上最高だったそうです。
朝起きたときから何だか生温かく、窓をあけると外からベトッとした空気が流れ込んできました。家の中の方がさわやかな空気。天気予報では夕方から雨の予報でしたので、湿度もそうとう高いのだと思ったしだいです。
水曜の午後はいつものように“外回り”の仕事。今日は近くの保育園の健診でした。やはり外にでると暑いと感じました。園では子どもたちが元気に過ごしていましたが、やっぱりみんな汗ばんでいるよう。健診のために上はシャツ一枚になっていましたが、それがむしろ気持ちよさそうでした。
つい先日、やっと春になったと思ったばかりなのに、もう夏の陽気。これでは体がついていけません。風邪や胃腸炎など、冬場の感染症もまだそうとう多いのに、これでまた体調を壊す子どもたちが増えてくるのではないかと、心配もしてしまいます。
いや、子どもたちよりも大人の方が大半かも。環境の変化についていくのがだんだんと苦手になってきています。もうすぐ初老？
こんな日にはやっぱりビールが美味しいですね。つい１杯いただいてしまいました。暑くなるのも、ビールを美味しく飲むためにはいいことかもしれません。そう思うと、何とか次の季節への変化も許容できそうです。
