ホリエモン逮捕
昨夜からまた大きな寒波が襲ってきました。数時間前までの青空はどこへいったんでしょう。またもや猛烈な吹雪です。高速道路も各地で通行止めになりましたし、真冬に逆戻りしました。例年は１月下旬から２月上旬くらいが一番天候が厳しくなりますので、もしかしたらこれからが本番なのかもしれません。12月からの寒波があまりに強く、１月に入って春に向かっているような感じもありましたが、それはきっと“錯覚”なのでしょう。
インフルエンザの流行も、いよいよ本格的になってきました。先週から患者発生が日増しに多くなってきています。流行してしている園・学校も拡大しているのが、手に取るように分かります。
今日はホリエモンことライブドア堀江貴文社長が逮捕されました。何本もの報道特集が組まれるほどの大騒動になっています（ずっとそれらをテレビでみていたのですが・・）。つい先日までは時代の寵児としてもてはやされたのが、一転して犯罪者になってしまいました。彼らのやってきたことの中身やからくりがやっと分かってきたからなのでしょうが、でもそれにしても変わり身が早いですね。マスコミも、国民も。
政治家はもっとひどいです。昨年の衆議院選挙では、公認ではなかったですが、自民党から実質上の推薦を受けて立候補しました。そのきっかけも自民党の幹事長からの要請だったということですし、選挙応援には自民党の幹部が大勢訪れています。結果として国民に間違った選択をさせようとしたわけですから、それなりの責任があると思いますが、自分の非を認めないのが政治家の習性のようです。
小泉首相は「すべてのことが分かって選挙でおしているわけではない」というようなことを言っています。確かにその人のすべてのことが分かってはいないでしょう。でも、彼の一番の仕事であり、本業の部分で犯罪を犯していたのであり、たまたま捕まったというようなことではありません。彼の仕事ぶりをみて、「改革」の旗手にふさわしいと考え、それを国民に推薦ししたわけですから、何も責任がないような話しぶりをするのは無責任な話です。
仮に私の医院の職員が何か問題を起こしたら、雇い主としての責任は免れません。それが業務上のことであればなおさらです。「その人のすべてのことが分かって雇えるわけではない」などと言っても、言い訳にもなりません。まずは雇用主として、相手方に誠意をもって謝罪し、必要なら補償もしていかなくてはいけません。それが社会のルールでしょう。
小泉さんが、小さく見えてきました。
