スティーブ・ジョブズ
昨日は私の大好きなマックのコンピューターやスティーブ・ジョブズの話で、一人で持ち上がってしまいました。ずいぶんといっぱい書き込んでしまったことに、自分でも驚いています。もう少しスティーブ・ジョブズの話を。
彼は人生に中で大きな出来事がいくつかありました。その時々で、形は“負け”であっても、自分の本当にしたいことを思い続け、むしろそれをバネにして、輝かしい成果を創出してきました。
彼は、大学を中退したことを「人生最良の決断」だと言っています。自分の作ったアップル社をクビになっことは「人生最良の出来事」だったとも。まさに逆転の発想です。日本で言えば「七転び八起き」でしょうか。あるいは「転んでもタダでは起きない」といったところかもしれません。
私自身はそれほどたいして人生を送っているとは思っていませんが、それでも時々は思うようにうまくいかないこともあります。予想していた方向とは違う方に向かうこともあります。トラブルも大きいもの、小さいもの、いろいろあります。気持ちが落ち込み、ただただその状況から逃げ出したいこともあります。でも、自分の本当にしたいことは何か、進みたいと思っている方向はどちらなのか、そういったことを大切にしていきたいと思います。
アップル社のコンピューター（マック）やiPodを愛している私ですが、創業者の生き方、考え方がそのまま製品になっているように思われ、ますます大好きになりました。やっぱりスティーブ・ジョブズは、すごい人です。彼から、そして彼が作り出しているモノから学ぶものがまだまだありそうです。
